Norman Metzger, president
Norman Metzger holds degrees in chemistry and worked for twenty-five years at the National Academy of Sciences. He is the author of two books, on chemistry and energy policy; articles on science and science policy; and many book reviews. Norman has lived on Capitol Hill since 1968, and has been active in various community efforts, most recently preventing a nightclub from taking over a church on Barracks Row and a campaign to rewrite regulations on construction blockage of sidewalks. Norman is a docent at the National Building Museum and newsletter editor (until January 2008) for Sycamore Island, a private island on the Potomac.
