Lois Kauffman
Lois Kauffman holds a B.A. degree in child development from Oregon State College University; a degree in education from Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana; and an M.A. degree in computers in education from Trinity College, Washington, D.C. Lois taught school in Indiana and in the D.C. public schools for over thirty years. After retiring from teaching, she spent nine years developing and directing an educational outreach program at the Capitol Area Food Bank. Her activities in the community include organizing and leading parent support groups and serving on the St. Peter’s Catholic Church parish council. She enjoys traveling and spending time with here children and grandchildren. She is an active member and life coach at the Washington Sports Club. Lois has lived on Capitol Hill for thirty-two years, is a charter member and founding board member of Capitol Hill Village, and serves as its director of volunteers.
