Private home. Call office for address.
Participants should call the CHV office to register their attendance, learn of the host’s address for July 12, and view any one or two or all three of the following films:
MOONRISE KINGDOM: another quirky lovable film from Wes Anderson (who directed The Royal Tenenbaums and The Darjeeling Limited) dramatizing the unlikely adventures of two youngsters who fall in love and run away … and since he is a scout and she is a planner, their escape seems almost perfectly reasonable.
THE INTOUCHABLES: no, that’s not a typo, but it refers to a film in which a rich Parisian quadriplegic hires a Senegalese immigrant for his full-time care but the relationship takes a surprising turn.
THE INVISIBLE WAR: a compelling documentary on the rise of rape in the American
military that argues that “a female soldier in combat zones is more likely to be
raped by a fellow soldier than killed by enemy fire."
